How to use ego (lite) with OpenClaw
Use OpenClaw with ego (lite) on Windows. Set permissions, load ego-browser, and complete a Tokyo Airbnb search.
OpenClaw can use ego-browser to work in an ego (lite) Space on Windows. This recording follows an Airbnb search for accommodation in Tokyo, from loading the skill to reviewing three listings.
Before you start: install ego (lite)
Install ego (lite) on Windows and finish setup. Open OpenClaw on the same computer and start a new session. If you need help with the browser setup, begin with Quick start.
Check that ego-browser is available in OpenClaw. If it does not appear, finish ego (lite) setup, restart OpenClaw, and check again.
Step 1: Set session permissions
Open Settings > Permissions. Under Capabilities, enable System tools and Browser control. Under Exec Policy, set Default action to Allow, as shown in the recording.
The recording then opens Sandbox, turns off Node Sandbox, and confirms Turn off in the dialog.
Step 2: Load the ego-browser skill
Type /skill ego-browser in the message input. Add a space, enter your browser task in the same message, and send it.
Step 3: Let OpenClaw work
OpenClaw opens Airbnb in an ego (lite) Space, searches Tokyo, and reads the listings and filters. Switch to the agent Space to follow its progress. Your own tabs stay in your Space while the task runs.
Step 4: Check the result
OpenClaw returns three listings with displayed prices, property details, and source links.
Troubleshooting
ego-browser is missing
Finish ego (lite) setup on the same Windows computer, restart OpenClaw, and check Settings > Skills again.
OpenClaw cannot open ego (lite)
Check that ego (lite) is installed and review Settings > Permissions in OpenClaw. If a permission request appears, review it before retrying the task.
The skill command is not recognized
Use /skill ego-browser and keep a space between the skill name and the first word of your task.
Airbnb asks you to sign in
Open the agent Space in ego (lite), complete the sign-in or verification yourself, and then ask OpenClaw to continue.
