How to use ego (lite) with WorkBuddy
Use WorkBuddy with ego (lite) on Windows. Set permissions, select ego-browser, and review a Tokyo Airbnb search.
WorkBuddy can use ego-browser to work in an ego (lite) Space on Windows. This recording follows an Airbnb search for accommodation in Tokyo, from selecting the skill to reviewing a table of three listings.
You can follow the same steps with your own search. Include your stay dates, number of guests, and budget so the agent knows which listings to compare.
Before you start: install ego (lite)
Install ego (lite) on Windows and finish setup. Open WorkBuddy on the same computer. If you need help with the browser setup, begin with Quick start.
Check that ego-browser appears in WorkBuddy's skill picker. If it does not, finish ego (lite) setup, restart WorkBuddy, and check again.
Step 1: Set session permissions
Open the permission menu below the input box and select Allow full access. Review the confirmation, select the acknowledgement, and confirm, as shown in the recording. This lets WorkBuddy launch ego (lite) and run the browser task.
Step 2: Select the ego-browser skill
Type / to open the skill picker and select ego-browser. With the skill selected, enter the browser task in the same message, then send it.
Step 3: Let WorkBuddy work
WorkBuddy opens Airbnb in an ego (lite) Space, searches Tokyo, and reads the listings. Switch to the agent Space to follow its progress. Your own tabs stay in your Space while the task runs.
Step 4: Check the result
WorkBuddy returns a comparison table with listing details, displayed prices, and source links.
Troubleshooting
ego-browser is missing
Finish ego (lite) setup on the same Windows computer, restart WorkBuddy, and check the skill picker again.
WorkBuddy cannot open ego (lite)
Check that ego (lite) is installed and review the session's permission setting. If WorkBuddy shows a permission request, review it before retrying the task.
Airbnb asks you to sign in
Open the agent Space in ego (lite), complete the sign-in or verification yourself, and then ask WorkBuddy to continue. Keep passwords and verification codes out of the task prompt.
